Father's Day at the Playground

If you noticed that the pictures look different, you're right! It is because Soco got me a Canon Rebel XTi 10.1 Megapixel camera! It is so awesome! But for Blogger's sake, I reduced the images about 5X in order to make them a manageable 200 kilobytes in size. If you would like the original photo, each photo comes out to be 3.4 Megabytes! Talk about huge! Just e-mail me which ones you would like. The photos come out so big, I can zoom into the tiny pores in Nayeli's forehead. Yes, it is that clear.

No more taking 30 pictures to get ONE good photo!

President's Orders

The President is requiring the government to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gases by 30% by the year 2015. (see Executive Order #13423).

Here are some easy ways for you to help, at work and home.

-Install a programmable thermostat
-Choose energy efficient appliances when making new purchases
-Wrap your water heater in an insulation blanket

-Buy recycled paper products
-Plant a tree

-Buy fresh foods instead of frozen
-Seek out and support local farmers markets
-Buy organic foods as much as possible

Eliminate your Footprint on this Earth

You can actually reverse the carbon impact you have put on this Earth by purchasing carbon credits. You can buy them at www.nativeenergy.com or www.terrapass.com. They have carbon calculators to estimate your footprint depending on the length of your travels and it is cheap too. (About 30 dollars a year.) The websites fund groups that fund renewable energy resources like wind farms and stuff like that to offset your greenhouse emmissions.

Good karma goes a long way, help save the Earth and make it a better place for Nayeli's future.

P.S. At terrapass.com you get stuff! For $1500, you can get a fold-up bike. For home packages, you can get an energy efficient light bulb, refrigerator magnet and more. I got a bumper sticker and decal for my van.

Picked up more Rank!

Exion was advanced to the next higher paygrade of E-6! It took him a while, but this time he blew it out of the water and set the highest score of 80. Woopie!

Everything is Fresh in California

Freshly Killed Cow.... Get meat on the cheap!

I didn't know that there was a Super Autobacs Store in Los Angeles. Apparently, it is the only one in the entire continent. The one here reminded me of Autozone, except with exclusive Japanese Import stuff. The Super Autobacs store in Yokohama, Japan has baby chairs designed like race car seats! They didn't have that here. What a pity. It is still cool here though. You can get your body kits, race car videos, and Nissan Skyline repair manuals here.

Fry's Electronics store in Industry City, California. It is the mecca store for electronics and is hands-down the best electronics/gadgets store in the universe. If it runs on hydrogen, gears or electricity, you can find it here and at warehouse prices. I made my pilgrimage a few days ago and bought a whole lot of cool Ipod stuff.

Happy 1st Birthday Nayeli!

Cowgirl

It is Nayeli's First Birthday! And she is having a blast! Many people came to see her, including her Great-Grandmother. She is happy to rock on her new rocking horse, drive her new tractor and play with the chickens.

Today, we went to the Bel-Air Swapmeet. There was many things for sale here. Mostly junk, however you can find just about everything (legal stuff and everything else). Nayeli got to try a churro and duritos for the first time. Yummy! The gas prices drove the price up to $1.50 for a churro and $1.25 for a bag of duritos with hotsauce and vinegar. Gas prices now? $3.40 in Los Angeles.

Me and Soco got to watch Spiderman 3 on IMAX. It was really cool and larger than life! The clarity was beautiful and it was a surreal experience.

Birthday Party at TGI Fridays, Yokosuka

Soco and Nayeli celebrating their birthday at TGI Fridays
Nayeli ate half of the Ice Cream Sundae!

Nayeli has been eating a lot lately! Her two bottom teeth is growing out too. We'll be flying to California this Tuesday for vacation. We'll be flying Korean Air, I think they have the best food of all the airlines I have ever flown in the world(AA, United, JA, Emirates, etc.) because they serve really good pickled stuff, sushi and kim-chi.

Yucky Soba!

Ticket Man pops out of small square in the wall to help some people purchase train tickets.
Yucky Soba!!! (Nayeli trying Yakisoba)

Nayeli tried Yakisoba with bad results. She tried to swollow the noodles but they were too long. She swallowed a part of it and end up pulling it all the way out of her throat! Icky!
